| Popular in the folk music scene of the 1970s and '80s, Buskin and Batteau are touring again after a 15 year hiatus. In the words of The Washington Post, they offer an "irresistible mix of melodic, sensual pop, folkie grit and killer wit." The New York Times called them simply "the most musically sophisticated act in folk." As professional jingle writers, their voices and tunes have been heard in almost every American household. They've had us listening "to the heartbeat of America", living "in a Burger King Town" and climbing "all aboard Amtrak". David Buskin (guitar/piano) and Robin Batteau (guitar/violin) with longtime compatriot Marshall Rosenberg on percussion, evoke a wide range of emotions, ranging from light-hearted amusement at "ESPN", or the pun-filled "Death in Venice", to the heartfelt sentiments of their well-known songs "The Boy With the Violin" and "Guinevere". Their new album "Red Shoes and Golden Hearts" was released last year. Call for reservations. Tickets are $15. |

| An evening of improvisational jazz featuring Chuck Redd on vibes, Robert Redd on piano and Tommy Cecil on bass with special guest multi-instrumentalist Scott Robinson. A wide-ranging instrumentalist, Robinson has been heard on tenor sax with Buck Clayton's band, on trumpet with Lionel Hampton's quintet, on alto clarinet with Paquito D'Rivera's clarinet quartet, and on bass sax with the New York City Opera. On these and other instruments including theremin and ophicleide, he has been heard with a cross-section of jazz's greats and has more than 190 recordings. His releases as a leader have garnered five-star reviews from Leonard Feather, Down Beat Magazine. His recording 'Melody From the Sky' was the subject of a Wall Street Journal article by Nat Hentoff. His newest, 'Forever Lasting' (featuring the compositions of Thad Jones and with guest artist Hank Jones), appeared on four "Best Of" lists for 2008 including All About Jazz and Jazz Improv Magazine. | Anthony John Clarke is an Irish singer and songwriter. He started writing at the age of nine inspired by the music of the sixties but it was only when he left Ireland for England that he pursued his passion for writing. Since then he has recorded twelve albums, three CD singles, published two songbooks and played in hundreds of clubs and festivals in the UK, Europe, Australasia and the USA. He has the ability to charm an audience and mesmerize them with his intelligent lyrics, humor and musicianship. In the UK, audiences often sing along with gusto to the choruses of such vastly different songs as 'The Only Life Gloria Knows' 'Blame it on Dolores'‚ and 'Tuesday Night is Always Karaoke'. Call for reservations. Tickets are $15. |
