| Libby York is a stylish and cosmopolitan jazz vocalist with a "voice like amber, dense, rich and imbued with an enchanting hint of smokiness. York proves that simple beauty is often the most stunning." (Christopher Loudon, JazzTimes). She has a strong admiration for the great cool jazz singers of the 40s and 50s: Anita O‚Day, Chris Connor, June Christy and Julie London but the Chicago native is an expressive vocalist in her own right intrigued by the timelessness of the standards she sings. Her most recent CD 'Here With You' with guitarist Russell Malone prompted The New York Times to call York "a jazz singer of cool composure and artful subtlety." Joining Libby at the Mainstay will be guitarist Paul Wingo and bassist Jeff Reed. Call for reservations. Tickets are $15. |

| Acoustic rock, folk and pop from Pete and Maura Kennedy. Brilliant boy-girl harmonies, string wizardry and catchy tunes both originals and some choice classic pop and rock covers from this high energy husband and wife duo. They wield rocking plugged-in acoustic guitars and before their feet hit the overdrive pedal you can guess that the New York duo are not your Dad's "folk". They met touring with Nanci Griffith. 10 CDs and countless touring miles later, they have carved their own niche in the indie music scene, somewhere between pop and acoustic rock, not-too-loud but brimming with charm and sizzle. Call for reservations. Tickets are $15. |
