Jeff
Haude of Chestertown, Maryland left a career of 30 years as
a chemical engineer. His work reflects influences from historic
and contemporary forms. While the majority of his output is
reproduction, contemporary, and period furniture a significant
portion of his work is architectural components for period homes.
In addition to being exhibited at local galleries, Jeff's work
has also appeared in the Boston Architectural Society and Federal
Reserve Bask Building Gallery in Boston.
Jeff
grew up in Port Washington, NY, and attended the University
of Tennessee and Lehigh University to study chemical engineering.
After graduation he worked for 30 years engineering and constructing
chemical plants in the US and overseas. He left this career
to study furniture making at the North Bennett Street School
in Boston.
Jeff
worked two years as a shop foreman in a production cabinet
and millwork shop. This experience in traditional and modern
production woodworking has provided the background for successfully
operating Bayshore Woodworks where he designs and builds custom
furniture for individuals and organizations.
